I started recording this album when I started grad school more than a few years ago. Most songs started out as acoustic sketches with more instrumentation added later. The vibe I'm going for is chill, breezy, instrumental songs that are relaxed enough to sit nicely in the background during a country drive or a study session but also strongly melodic enough to be engaging. Also, I wanted there to be a sense of cycle, or circularity, in each song with the arrangements of each section rising and falling into each other but that just might be a stretch.
